On the fourth day of our campaign, we call on everyone who values the vital role of social care to take to social media and make their voices heard. Social care is not just a lifeline for millions—it is a pillar
of our society, economy, and collective well-being.

This week’s announcement by the Prime Minister to freeze overseas recruitment through a new Immigration White Paper delivers yet another blow to a sector already under immense pressure. For social
care, this isn’t just bad policy—it’s the revocation of a critical support system.

Despite contributing £68 billion to the UK economy, social care continues to be overlooked and undermined. The refusal to fund ENICs, now followed by a hostile immigration proposal, signals a
growing detachment by the government from the people and services that hold communities together.
